It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving is upon us already- which means the holiday season is imminently upon us and I have some shopping to do. There is a Black Friday sale this year although I am not sure what the discounts are just yet.
It may be a little early this year- but here’s a preliminary gift guide for what will likely be the hottest items going into the season.
Avengers: Infinity War was one of the hottest films of the year and there are definitely some neat items available in-store, including the Marvel Legends Infinity Gauntlet replica from Hasbro, which has been extremely popular since the movie came out and is perfect for those who want to pretend they are Thanos wielding its power. The fingers are articulated and there is a light-up feature as well and we currently have it in stock. Another noteworthy item would be the Iron Spider Marvel Legends figure which has been one of the most sought after figures in the line. Further Infinity War pieces include Bandai SH FiguArts figures of Captain America, Black Widow and Black Panther, plus POPs of Proxima Midnight, Black Widow and Thor. Hot Toys also has the first figures from their line for the movie including Black Widow and a Groot and Rocket two pack.
Halloween has been killing it at the box office and that has translated to renewed interest in Michael Myers again- the current license holders include Mezco and NECA. Mezco has a couple of figures from the original film out including the gorgeous One:12 action figure and their Living Dead Dolls interpretation of the Shape. The long-awaited NECA version from the Halloween 2018 film is expected closer to the end of the year, with no word on when Laurie will join him yet. Myers would definitely make an excellent choice for the horror fan in your life however.
Funko POPs are as popular as ever and there are a few new pieces coming out including our first characters from Fortnite as well as the Purple Rain version of Prince. Other recent POPs include Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors, Kingdom Hearts POPs and so much more.
