After months of delays, the deluxe version of Spider-Man as seen in Homecoming should be arriving this week. Featuring everything that was included with the regular version, this version also features additional clothing pieces such as a blazer, a hoodie and the Vulture’s helmet. Spider-Man stuff has been hot and I know for sure this one is going to move pretty quickly. A small quantity of Belle from Beauty and the Beast will also be gracing our Hot Toys cabinet featuring the likeness of fan-favorite actress Emma Watson, the former Hermione Granger. Belle comes dressed in her yellow ball gown and features several of the Beast’s cursed staff as bonus accessories- including Cogsworth, Lumiere, Plumette, Mrs. Potts and Chip. Belle also comes with the famous enchanted Rose in a bell jar from the film. No final word on Thor from Thor Ragnarok as yet, but it should be soon.
Diamond and Mezco have teamed up to bring fans a new 1:12 figure- a Previews Exclusive Spider-Man in his black symbiote costume. Mezco items have been hot, Spider-Man toys are always hot and black costume Spidey has always been a very cool looking figure in most incarnations. This one should also be gone fairly quickly.
NECA did indeed ship our Wonder Woman 1/4 scale figures towards the middle of last week and man is she tempting. Standing at approximately 18″ tall, Diana is sculpted to resemble Gal Gadot from the 2017 film and comes fully articulated and accessorized. Diana strikes an imposing figure and even her packaging using elements and colors used for the movie is striking. Definitely one of the coolest pieces to come out from NECA. Other NECA items in stock now include a reissue of the Ultimate Freddy from the original A Nightmare on Elm Street, 8″ retro figures of Captain Spaulding and Iron Maiden’s Eddie and Chell from the Portal 2 videogame.
Funko has shipped a variety of items out including Princess Bride POPs, Masters of the Universe Vynl figures of Prince Adam and Cringer, MotU Pint-Size Heroes and the Specialty Series Green Hornet POPs among others. There is also a restock on the massively popular Hulkbuster POP from this year’s blockbuster Avengers: Infinity War.
DC Collectibles has been kind of sparse on the action figure front lately, but this week sees the release of three action figures based on the best-selling Batman: Black and White Statue line. The Bob Kane, Jim Lee and Greg Capullo figures feature the Caped Crusader as designed by those artists in a fully articulated action figure form. I think these should do very well if they come out as nice as the prototypes.
