Val’s Toy Chest- A Flurry of Funko for Spring

It has been a while since we’ve had a huge Funko shipment, but this week we’ve gotten some long-awaited POPs in. Let’s take a look at what is here!

Avengers: Infinity War:  We have already received the Dorbz, plush assortment and the POP keychains, but the POP vinyls themselves have arrived for our shelves. This movie is looking particularly ambitious with all of the characters and story threads that are expected to be addressed in this film. Several characters from Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers films are in this movie. What’s in this wave? Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Spider-Man, Groot, Thanos and new villains Ebony Maw, Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive. There is also a Hulkbuster 6″ POP vinyl on the way. New blind boxed Mystery Minis from the likely summer blockbuster are also due in this week.

Jurassic Park: Funko has been tackling 90s films and cartoons lately and this includes Jurassic Park.  Ian Malcolm(aka Jeff Goldblum), Dennis Nedry, Alan Grant, and a couple of dinosaurs make up this series which should tie-in nicely with this year’s Jurassic World sequel.

Care Bears, Saturday Night Live and just in time for its theatrical release this weekend, Ready Player One POPs will be in-store to celebrate the film’s opening. One of the characters in the film is the Iron Giant, which has always been a decent seller, so you might want to grab one- especially since the older model is no longer available.

Funko restocks include Looney Tunes Bugs and Daffy and two versions of Eleven from Stranger Things.

Getting away from Funko for a minute- the first series of DC’s Signature Series Multiverse figures have arrived. This initial wave features Val Kilmer’s Batman from Batman Forever as well as the first ever John Wesley Shipp as the Flash figure from the 90’s The Flash TV series.  The JWS Flash figure will most likely fly off our shelves quickly as the likeness successfully captures Shipp’s handsome, chiseled features and Flash toys in general have done really well the past few years.  Each Signature Series figure includes a display base, interchangeable hands and a display card. The next rumored figure in this line is Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman from the 70’s era TV show.

Anyway- that’s it for me this time- see you soon!
