EVIL BONG 3-D Full Moon Film Fest

Late last year Charles Band and Full Moon Features ran a sale which guaranteed an Executive Producer credit on their next film to anyone who spends over a certain amount at their Full Moon Direct web-store.  Being a huge Full Moon fan (especially the Puppet Master series) I really wanted in on this.  Lucky for me it was near my birthday and my amazing girlfriend said she would pay for it. SCORE!

That was six months ago, and now we are less than a week away from the east coast premiere of Evil Bong 3-D The Wrath of Bong! Which I theoretically helped “produce”.

But in all honesty this is a big deal for me and probably all the Full Moon fans out there, because it’s their first theatrical release in what seems to be a lifetime, (which means if this does well, then maybe we’ll get a new Puppet Master flick in theaters) and Charlie (I can call you Charlie right? I am an executive producer after all) Band made sure to pull out all the stops on this one.  Not only is it in 3-D, it’s also in Sniff-O-Rama! You know… like when they give out little cards with numbered circles for you to scratch and smell when the number appears on screen… DUH! They did it in John Waters’ Polyester and Fox’s made for TV Revenge of the Nerds Part IV. So if its as good as either of those movies this is guaranteed to be  AWESOME! And they weren’t even in 3-D. But wait there’s more…

This Saturday May 14th the Forum Theater Arts Center in Metuchen NJ will be host to the Evil Bong 3-D 35MM Full Moon Film Fest.  An 8 hour event featuring screenings of Evil Bong 3-D,  Puppet Master 2, and From Beyond! There will be appearances by Charlie Spradling and Barbara Crampton, Q&A sessions, plus a special Full Moon Roadshow. Which if you haven’t seen before, let me tell ya… will be worth the price of admission alone. The Master of Ceremonies himself Charles Band will catch us up with all things Full Moon, tell a few Gary Busey stories and then get girls to come on stage and take their tops off! Seriously… what more could you ask for? Charles Band is doing for modern underground horror what William Castle did for the genre in the 50’s. Some of you “directors” out there should take a cue from a guy who’s been in the business for almost 40 years and still makes time to travel with his product and meet fans face to face.

Now here is the best part… Believe it or not Full Moon calls me and wants to offer Forbidden Planet’s customers a killer 2 for 1 deal on tickets to the event. Having nothing to do with me being an “Executive Producer” and all to do with the fact that they’re awesome like that.  Hey. who am I to look a gift horse in the mouth?

That’s right kids 2 tickets, a 50 dollar value for only 25 dollars. The tickets are only available for sale in store, but that won’t be a problem, will it?  Cause you’re all gonna be here on Friday the 13th for our Slime City Massacre DVD Release Party anyway.  To sweeten the pot, Full Moon also straight up gave me a couple sets of tickets to raffle off at our SCM party.  So come down and try to win a pair, and if you don’t… who cares! They’re so cheap, just buy them.

Just to make things clear, at no point while I wrote this was I, myself, stoned…

O.K. maybe for the later half of what I wrote when I got home from work.
