I’ve been writing a comics column for years, and it is almost always about print comics. This is akin to a dinosaur, still writing a food column about methane rich ferns and the subtle flavor […]

I remember when this kit first came out. The Unicorn was awesome and cool and everyone was talking about it. A friend of mine mentioned the Sinanju and all I could say was, “what the […]
So close, it’s just so damn close! Never before in my life have I built a more satisfying kit. The Nu Gundam Version Katoki Master Grade is an engineering marvel, and it looks damn impressive […]
One of the most highly anticipated books in recent memory releases this coming Wednesday- The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Historia– and everyone ’round these parts is totally jazzed. We have many many copies of this […]
Well, that was easier than expected. Honestly I can’t say I’m surprised. As a much older Master Grade, it was pretty clear that it was going to be much simpler than the Nu Ver […]
And now, Matt D and Tyler chit-chatting about our upcoming MISFITS/OSAKA POPSTAR signing and other assorted stuff from the office. For an hour. On a Friday night.
Trolls trolling trolls, I swear. Apparently it’s been a whopping whole 1 week since the release of the last set of figures from Square Enix, so the company decided to release another 2 to make […]
(note: This weeks column will be structured like a Choose Your Own Adventure. If you do not understand what a Choose Your Own Adventure story is you should call your parents and ask them why they didn’t give you a better childhood.)
So here we are again. Me at my computer, drinking chocolate milk like an adult. It’s 3 AM. I had a really long day and I don’t want to get into the details. On the bright side I had dinner at a Chinese restaurant next to Peter Scolari. I also thought I recognized the guy sitting on the other side of the room but I realized after dinner that I thought it was Walter Cronkite and I am pretty sure he’s dead. So that was either not him or the craziest celebrity sighting ever. Peter Scolari isn’t dead, right? If he is, you all should check out this Chinese spot on 74th and Amsterdam. It’s like Dawn Of The Dead but with soup dumplings. Anyway, enough about me. What’s going on with you? If you are reading the newsletter in Forbidden Planet please proceed to PARAGRAPH 1. If you are reading the blog on FPNYC.com skip ahead to PARAGRAPH 2. If you are reading the newsletter somewhere outside the store please jump to PARAGRAPH 3. […]
The debut issue of Superior Spider-Man makes it clear that Peter Parker Spider-Man is still swinging around in the mind of his body’s usurper, Dr. Otto Octavious. While we have no idea what crazy comics […]
Oh man, this kit is awesome. I apologize for the lack of updates, as I’ve been rather busy over the past few days. There’s a lot more to this kit than you can see, so […]

We got something to say:
So one of my co-workers today told me that they have no idea what it means when I write “RIYL” in my column. I guess I just thought that was something everyone knew. Seems not […]
I suppose a 2013 preview list should not be written 14 days into year, but I did a lot of traveling over the holidays, and acquired several video games of worth. If anything, SEGA should […]
Ah, good ol’ Crossbone Gundam. Totally badass and armed to the teeth. Crossbone X-1 is an awesome design, but if it weren’t for my current play-through of Super Robot Wars Alpha 2, I probably never […]
